These terms apply to all plumbing, heating and installation work carried out by Northfield Plumbing Ltd. Last updated 1 January 2026.
Written quotations are valid for 30 days and are fixed unless the scope of work changes or previously concealed defects are found. Where additional work is needed we will stop, explain the issue and agree a revised price with you before continuing.
Domestic repair work is invoiced on completion and payable within 7 days by bank transfer or card. Installation projects over £2,000 are staged: a materials deposit, an interim payment and a final balance on sign-off. We do not charge call-out fees or weekend surcharges.
All workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from completion. Manufacturer warranties on parts and appliances are passed to you in full and registered on your behalf where required. The guarantee excludes damage caused by misuse, third-party alterations or lack of servicing.
You agree to provide safe access to the working area and to make us aware of any known asbestos, electrical faults or structural concerns. We may pause work where continuing would be unsafe.
Booked appointments can be rescheduled or cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance. Cancellations inside 24 hours may incur a charge covering materials already ordered.
We hold £5m public liability insurance. Our liability is limited to the value of the works carried out except where the law provides otherwise. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
